Stop Repeatin Same Dating Mistakes: Here’s How to Change It Up

As with a lot of what I post it starts out as me writing to myself!

And I use the terms “dating” and “relationships” as generic catch-all terms. If you don’t “date” or get into “relationships” and have different set ups with women it can still apply (And some of it can apply to non-romantic and/or professional relationships to in theory)

1. Spotting Patterns in Attraction

  • Recognize What Keeps Happenin: In dating, the same things tend to repeat—whether it’s the types of people you attract or how conversations unfold. If you see the same outcomes or issues popping up, there’s likely a pattern beneath it.
  • Actionable Tip: Pay attention to what’s recurring in your dating life. If certain behaviors or responses keep coming up, address them early by adjusting your approach. Make small changes, like how you start conversations or respond to texts, and see how it shifts the dynamic.

2. Adjust Your Approach for Better Results

  • Take What Works and Evolve: The key to success in dating is learning from your past. Look at what made things click in your best experiences and build on that. On the flip side, drop habits that didn’t get you where you wanted to go.
  • Actionable Tip: Think about the last time you connected well with someone. Was it your humor, confidence, or something else? Bring more of that into your next interaction. Leave behind the things that felt forced or didn’t lead anywhere. Keep refining your approach.

3. Grow Through Every Interaction

  • Build Stronger Connections Over Time: Relationships and attraction aren’t built in a day—they grow through repeated moments of connection, challenge, and resolution. Embrace the ups and downs, knowing that each moment is part of the process.
  • Actionable Tip: If the same issue comes up in a relationship or date, respond differently this time. Instead of repeating old habits, try handling it with more calm or humor. Switching up your reaction can change the outcome and strengthen your bond.

4. Small Moves, Big Impact

  • Subtle Tweaks Make a Difference: Sometimes, the smallest changes can completely shift the way someone responds to you. Maybe it’s the timing of when you reply to a text, or a confident silence during a conversation that builds tension.
  • Actionable Tip: Focus on small changes, like holding eye contact a bit longer, waiting a few extra seconds before responding, or changing the tone of your voice. These little moves can make a big impact on how she perceives you and keeps her interest high.

5. Stay Open to Evolvin

  • Always Be Ready to Adjust: Dating isn’t about sticking to one script—it’s about adapting. Each interaction is a chance to bring something new to the table, stay true to who you are, but adjust how you play the game based on the situation.
  • Actionable Tip: Don’t get stuck thinking what worked last time will always work. Stay flexible. Whether it’s a different type of girl or a new environment, bring a fresh approach and stay open to learning from every experience.
