I write these things for myself first and foremost – and if they help others, that’s great too.
I haven’t gone through Casey’s MBT (Masculine Behavioral Techniques) course yet (he’s basically giving it away for free at the $147 price point), but I imagine a lot of it is about these sorts of things.
Remember: No one is coming to save you.
Identify Weaknesses
Acknowledge the areas in your life where you feel weak or insecure.
Be brutally honest with yourself about the habits, thoughts, and behaviors that hold you back or make you feel less powerful.
Develop Mental Toughness
Cultivate a resilient mindset.
This means facing challenges head-on, not shying away from discomfort, and refusing to let fear dictate your actions. Embrace the idea that growth often comes from pushing through difficult situations.
Stop Complaining
Complaining is a sign of helplessness.
Instead of whining about your circumstances, take action to change them. Focus on solutions rather than problems. Complaining only reinforces a victim mentality.
Take Responsibility
Own your life and your decisions.
When you take full responsibility, you empower yourself to make changes. Stop blaming others or external factors for your problems.
Set Boundaries
Stand up for yourself and set clear boundaries.
Don’t allow others to disrespect you or take advantage of you. Learn to say no when needed and protect your time, energy, and well-being.
Master Self-Discipline
Control your impulses and stick to your goals.
Whether it’s in your work, health, or personal life, discipline is key to overcoming weakness. This includes doing what needs to be done even when you don’t feel like it.
Embrace Pain and Discomfort
Growth often requires enduring pain, whether it’s physical, emotional, or mental.
Instead of avoiding discomfort, see it as a necessary part of becoming stronger. Don’t let the fear of pain hold you back.
Stop Seeking Validation
Don’t rely on others to make you feel good about yourself.
Develop self-confidence from within, based on your own achievements, values, and principles. External validation is fleeting and unreliable.
Strengthen Your Body and Mind
Physical fitness and mental sharpness go hand in hand.
Train your body to be strong and resilient, and sharpen your mind through learning and challenging yourself intellectually. A strong body and mind help eliminate feelings of weakness.
Surround Yourself with Strong People
The people you associate with have a significant impact on your mindset and behavior.
Surround yourself with individuals who are strong, driven, and embody the traits you want to develop.
Confront Your Fears
Fear is often at the root of the “inner bitch.”
Identify your fears and confront them head-on. Whether it’s fear of failure, rejection, or the unknown, facing your fears diminishes their power over you.
Practice Assertiveness
Be direct and confident in expressing your needs, desires, and boundaries.
Don’t be passive or allow others to push you around. Assertiveness is about respecting yourself and others.
Eliminate Excuses
Excuses are a way of avoiding responsibility and staying in your comfort zone.
Stop making excuses for why you can’t achieve something, and start taking action instead.
Commit to Growth
Finally, commit to continuous personal growth.
The journey to eliminating weakness is ongoing, and there’s always room for improvement. Stay focused on becoming the best version of yourself.
